Surfaces Reconstruction Section: Primary Area

The primary area of the Surfaces Reconstruction section of the action bar provides commands for an automatic approach, a curves and surfaces network approach, and an untrimmed approach of surface reconstruction.

This page discusses:

Automatic Surface
Creates automatically a surface from a mesh.
See Creating a Surface Automatically from a Mesh.
Tessellation Segmentation
Recognizes and creates areas on a tessellated mesh, either automatically or manually.
See Recognizing Areas by Tessellation Segmentation.
Surfaces Network
Creates a surfaces network from a curves network and a support mesh.
See Creating a Surfaces Network.
Mechanical Shape Wizard
Mechanical Part Reconstruction.
See Using the Mechanical Shape Wizard.
Multi-sections Surface
Creates a multi-sections surface based on section curves, and possibly guide curves, along a center curve.
See Working with Multi-Sections Surfaces.
Segmentation by Curvature
Defines areas on a mesh along the curvatures or curvature radii.
See Defining Areas by Curvature Segmentation.
See Flyout for Recognizing Primitives
Power Fit
Creates a Power Fit featurized surface.
See Creating Surfaces with Power Fit.
Extrapolate
Creates a surface by extrapolating one of its boundaries, or a curve at one of its endpoints.
See Extrapolating Surfaces.
Split
Splits a surface or wireframe element using a cutting element.
See Splitting Geometry.
Trim
Trims two or more surface or wireframe elements by cutting each other mutually.
See Trimming Geometry.
Join
Assembles adjacent curves or surfaces into one element.
See Joining Curves or Surfaces.
Edge Fillet
Creates a fillet on a surface edge.
See Creating Edge Fillets.
Deviation Analysis
Analyzes the deviation between reference objects and objects to measure.
See Performing a Deviation Analysis.
Connect Checker Analysis
Analyzes the connections between two curves or two surfaces.
See Checking Connections Between Surfaces.

Flyout for Recoginizing Areas by Segmenting Meshes

Segmentation by Curvature
Defines areas on a mesh along the curvatures or curvature radii.
See Defining Areas by Curvature Segmentation.
Segmentation by Slope
Performs a slope analysis to segment a cloud into several areas.
See Defining Areas by Slope Segmentation.
Interactive Segmentation
Creates areas on a mesh by interactive segmentation.
See Defining Areas by Interactive Segmentation.
Segmentation by Color
Creates areas on a cloud of points from a color-based space and colorimetric distance.

Flyout for Recognizing Primitives

3D Primitive Recognition
Recognizes 3D primitives (basic shapes) on meshes or clouds of points.
