Sequential Thermomechanical Analysis of a Laser Powder Bed Fusion
Build
This example guides you through creating and performing thermomechanical simulations on
the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
You will learn how to:
Create a sequential thermomechanical simulation.
Select the appropriate initial temperature, heat transfer flux, material input,
and physical interactions.
Use simulation features, such as restraints, model change (a common practice to
remove the build tray and the support structures), groups for mesh entities, and
amplitude smoothing.
Create and run multiple steps in a simulation.
View the results and plot contours for von Mises stress, and plot the distortion
caused during a simulation.
