Heat Exchanger Efficiency

This example guides you through creating and performing an internal fluid flow simulation with heat exchange on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

You will learn how to:

  • Use the Assistant to create a simulation that models the mechanical forces and dynamics of steady-state fluid flow.
  • Define a fluid region internal to your model.
  • Assign a material to the fluid section.
  • Specify the physics of the flow, including thermal effects.
  • Apply boundary conditions.
  • Create a mesh of the fluid region.
  • Request data output for pertinent variables.
  • Check and run a simulation.
  • Generate plots to view the pressure, temperature, flow velocity, and streamline contours of the fluid flow.
