Card Editor Toolbar

The Card Editor toolbar appears when you open the Card Editor by selecting Tools > Card Editor

New
Opens a new card.

Open
Opens an existing card. When you click Open the software displays the Open Card dialog box, where you can select an existing card to open in the Card Editor.

Save
Save the active card opened in the Card Editor. When you click Save, the software opens Save Card. Save is only available if there is a card opened in the Card Editor.

Cut
Deletes a selected control. Cut only works on selected interactive controls if the control already has an attribute selected in the control's properties.

Copy
Copies the selected area. You can use Copy along with Paste.
Paste
Pastes data or copied controls.
Select
Makes a control available for editing. Once you select a control, you can move, resize, or delete it as well as revise the control's properties.
Image
Inserts an image or icon onto your customized card.

Static Text
Provides a text box on the card for typing text or for selecting dynamic text (such as Today's Date). Use Static Text to describe an accompanying interactive control.

Frame
Frames two or more items. For example, you might add a frame around two or more radio buttons to group the buttons together.

Tab Control
Adds visible (or hidden) tabs that divide data card sections into multiple tabbed pages.

Edit
Adds an edit box that displays values stored in the database. This control allows users to enter their own values or provides a link to a group of list controls on the card.

Button
Provides a button to allow users to launch an application, add-in, or Web page that you specify.

Radio Button
Adds a radio button, which allows users to select a predefined value.

Combobox Dropdown
Adds a drop-down list that allows users to select from a list of predefined values that you define or to enter their own values in the edit field.

Combobox Droplist
Adds a drop-down list of values that allows users to select from a list of predefined values. This combobox omits the edit box so that users are unable to enter values.

Combobox Simple
Adds a list with all of the of permanent visible values that you define.

List
Adds a scrollable list of values that you define.

Tab Control
Adds visible (or hidden) tabs that divide data card sections into multiple tabbed pages.

Checkbox
Adds a check box that users can select.

Date Field
Adds a calendar for users to select a date.

Aligning & Sizing Toolbar

Left
Left aligns the selected controls.
Right
Right aligns the selected controls.
Bottom
Aligns the bottoms of the selected controls.
Top
Aligns the tops of the selected controls.
Horizontal Center
Centers the selected controls along a horizontal axis.
Vertical Center
Centers the selected controls along a vertical axis.
Same Width
Makes all the selected controls the same width.
Same Height
Makes all the selected controls the same height.
Same Size
Makes all the selected controls the same size.

Glueing Toolbar

Glue Left
Maintains a constant distance to the left-side control edge to the left side of a resizeable card.
Glue Right
Maintains a constant distance to the right-side control edge to the right side of a resizeable card.
Glue Top
Maintains a constant distance to the top of the control edge to the top of a resizeable card.
Glue Bottom
Maintains a constant distance to the bottom of the control edge to the bottom of a resizeable card.
