Inserts a new physical product in an assembly.

Duplicate and Insert Existing Product
Duplicates an existing product and inserts the duplicate in the structure.
Select a product, and then select an existing product to be duplicated from session or through a search.

Duplicate and Insert Existing Representation
Duplicates an existing representation and inserts the duplicate in the structure.
Select a a root product or 3D part. After clicking the command, select the object to be duplicated.

Duplicate and Insert as Reusable Representation
Copies an existing representation that is not reusable, and makes the duplicate reusable.
Select a a root product or 3D part. After clicking the command, select the object to be duplicated.

Flyout for Replacing Objects



Replace by Existing
Replaces an object by an existing object of the same type.
Select an object, then select an existing object in session or through a search.

Replace by Existing Configuration
Replaces the instantiated predefined configuration by another configuration.

Replace by Revision
Replaces an object by one of its revisions.
Select an object, then select the convenient revision.

Replace Items by Latest Revision
Replaces the selected objects by their latest revision.

Overload Minor Revision
Overloads the current revision of an object with one of its minor revisions.
Select an object, then select the convenient revision.

Important: By default, this command is not displayed. If you do not see this command, ask your administrator to select Enable Minor Revision Authoring Commands in the parameterization console. For more information, see Platform Management Administration Guide.


Overload Latest Minor Revision
Overloads the current revision of an object with its latest minor revision.

Important: By default, this command is not displayed. If you do not see this command, ask your administrator to select Enable Minor Revision Authoring Commands in the parameterization console. For more information, see Platform Management Administration Guide.


Manage Latest Revisions
Replaces the selected object and all its children by their latest revision.

Duplicate and Replace
Creates a duplication of the selected object and replaces the selected object with the duplication.
Select the object to be duplicated before clicking Duplicate and Replace.

Replace by New Revision
Creates a new revision of the selected object and replaces the selected object with the new revision.
Select the object to be replaced before clicking Replace by New Revision.

Flyout for Reordering the Tree

Tree Reordering
Reorders the tree.
Select an object with two or more children of the same type, then use the Manual reordering mode or the Automatic reordering by criterion mode to reorder the instances.

Tree Reordering by Drag-and-Drop
Reorganizes the tree by dragging and dropping elements.

Flyout for Publishing

Create a Publication
Creates a publication on a representation.
Enter a name for the publication in the Publication tab of the dialog box.

Edit Publication Properties
Edits publication properties to modify the pointed element.
In the Published Element tab, click Modify and select a new pointed element in the work area.

Rename a Publication
Renames a publication.
Select a publication, and then enter a name. If needed, select Automatic reconnection or Rename also pointed element options.

Optimize Publications
Optimizes the publication network by rerouting redundant publication links.
To reroute the publications, select the boxes next to the listed publications and click OK.

Import Publications
Imports publications from an external file.
Browse to select the required .txt file.

Export Publications
Exports publications to an external file.
See Exporting Publications.

Product Position
Displays position matrix information about the selected product.

Displays product flexibility information about the selected product.

Keep Modifications
Keeps modifications previously made on product graphic properties.

Removes all the volatile and persistent graphic properties applied to products.
