Document and Specification Items
Each document and product specification item contains the following information:| Column | Description | ||||||||||||

| Title | The title of the document or specification. Initially, this is the name of the file uploaded when the document or product specification was created. On most devices, double-click with a delay to edit the title inline. On touch devices, touch to edit the title inline. | ||||||||||||
| Status | The reservation status of the document or

| Type | The type of object: Document or Product Specification | ||||||||||||
| Revision | The revision number of the document or specification. | ||||||||||||
| Version | The version number of the file associated with document or specification. | ||||||||||||
| Owner | The person who is responsible for the document or specification. Initially, this is the person who uploaded the file associated with the document or specification when it was created. | ||||||||||||
| Maturity | The lifecycle state of the document or specification. Documents are created in the In Work state. Specifications are created in the Plan state. | ||||||||||||
| Description | The detailed description of the document or specification. |
Document and Specification Context Actions
Each document and specification item has the following actions available in its context menu:| Action | Description | For More Information |

 Upload
|
Uploads a new version of the file associated with the selected document or specification. A dialog box opens so that you can search for and select a newer version of the file to associate with the document or specification. You cannot upload newer versions to documents or specifications that are reserved by another user. | Uploading a Newer Version of a Document or Specification |
 Lock
|
Locks the document or specification for your exclusive editing. | Locking a Document or Specification |
 Unlock
|
Unlocks the document or specification for editing by others. | Unlocking a Document or Specification |
 Download
|
Downloads the most recent version of the file associated with the selected document or specification to your local computer. | Downloading a Document or Specification |
 Information
|
Opens the properties of the document or specification. You cannot edit the properties of documents or specifications that are reserved by someone else. | Document or Specification Information Pane |
 Remove
|
Removes the document or specification from the model version. You cannot remove documents or specifications that are reserved. | — |
Page Actions

 New Document
|

Remove
|
Removes the selected documents and specifications from the model version. They remain available in the database. You cannot remove documents or specifications that are locked. | — |
 Multi-Selection Mode >
Lock Selected
|
Locks all of the selected documents and specifications for your exclusive editing. No one else can edit the properties, upload new versions, or remove documents or specifications while you have them reserved. | Locking a Document or Specification |

Download Selection
