Behaviors Section

The Behaviors section provides commands to create and manage behaviors, including simulation.

This page discusses:

Behavior Selection
See Flyout for Selection and Editing of Behaviors, and Behavior Tag Edition
Simulation Setup
Defines the preferences of a simulation.
In the Simulation Setup dialog box, select the tab corresponding to the preferences to be customized and set the desired preferences.
See Setting up a Simulation.
Model Check
Checks the model.
In the tree or from the 2D representation, activate a function or logical component containing the behavior to be checked and then, click Model Check.
See Checking a Model.
Simulate
Executes the model.
Select the component and click Simulate.
See Launching a Virtual Execution.
Replay Simulation Results
Replays simulation results.
See Replaying Simulation Results.
Import FMU
See Flyout for Import and Export of FMUs
Insert New Behavior Representation
Creates a new behavior representation under a function or logical component.
See Inserting a Behavior in an Existing Function or Logical Component.
Behavior Interface Update
Updates the behavior ports and interfaces mapping from the function or logical component.
See Synchronizing the Mapping of Behavior Ports and Interfaces.
Logical and Physical Models Mapping Edition
Displays and synchronizes ports mapping between logical and physical behaviors.
See Mapping of Physical and Logical Models.
Modelica Versioning
Updates dependencies on attached behaviors.
See Changing Modelica Versions of Libraries Used in Modelica Behaviors.
Edit Component Parameters
Edits parameters of the Dymola behavior from the selected functional or logical component.
See Editing Parameter Values in Dymola Behaviors.
Create a Composite Dymola Behavior
Creates a Composite Dymola Behavior from Functional/Logical Model.
See Creating Composite Dymola Behaviors.

Flyout for Selection and Editing of Behaviors, and Behavior Tag Edition

Behavior Selection
Selects a behavior in a multi-behavior model.
Select a scenario and click Behavior Selection. In the dialog box, select the convenient behavior.
See Selecting a Behavior in a Multi-Behavior Model.
Edit Dymola Behavior
Edits a Dymola behavior.
Select the component containing the behavior, click Edit Dymola Behavior, and then edit the desired behavior.
See Editing a Dymola Behavior or a Context Behavior.
Edit Behavior Tags
Creates and edits behavior tags.
See Creating and Editing Behavior Tags.

Flyout for Import and Export of FMUs

Import FMU
Imports an FMU file as a behavior.
The content of a Functional Mock-up Unit (.fmu) is imported into a new behavior.
See Importing an FMU File.
Export FMU
Exports an FMU file from the FMI behavior representation.
Select the FMI behavior representation and click Export FMU.
See Exporting an FMU File.
