Layout Section

The Layout section provides commands for creating and editing content in a diagram view.

Port Mapping
Maps connection points and ports.
Select the connection point and double-click the port to be mapped in the list.

Edits a connection point and a port.
Select the desired connection point and change its direction.

Manage Thumbnails
Displays logical reference as a thumbnail showing its symbol representation in Catalog Browser.
In Catalog Browser, select a chapter or logical reference for which you want associate a thumbnail with and close the dialog box.

Apply Gap on Routes

Analyze Networks
Highlights connected networks and the possible paths between the To and From components of a given network.
In the Analyze Networks dialog box, click the From object box and select the component from which you want to start the network analysis. Click the To object box and select the component ending the network to be analyzed.

Create Zone

Update Schematic Data

Check Sheet Connector
Lists all the sheet connectors which are not paired.
In the Check Offsheets dialog box, select the Check all orphan offsheets in session option, and click a routable.

Print Custom Area
Selects an area of a diagram view to be printed.
In the Custom Print area, select a frame format, an orientation and click Update preview.

Create Symbol From Shape
Creates a symbol from one or several shapes and text.
Select one or several shapes and click Create Symbol From Shape. In the dialog box, click Select and select the component to be mapped with the symbol.

Arrange Stacked Symbols
Brings a text to the front when two texts are overlapping.

Click the diagram view to position all the points of your geometry.

Click the diagram view to position the first end of the line. Drag your pointer to draw the line and click.

Creates an ellipse.
Click the diagram view to position the ellipse center. Enlarge your geometry and click.

Modifies the position or the orientation of a symbol.
To change the position or the orientation of a symbol, move respectively the manipulation tool or its handles.

Duplicate Advanced View
Duplicates the content of a diagram view in a new one.
The Schematic_ComputeInstantiateDuplicateOptions business logic must be defined in the Diagram Resources resource set.
