Functional Section

The Functional section in the action bar provides commands for creating functional features.



Positioned Sketch
Creates a positioned sketch.

Added Feature
Adds material to both inside and outside of the material volumes.


Protected Feature
Reserves an area, within the body, inside which no material can be added.


Shellable Feature
Creates a shape in the form of a hollow feature.

Internal Feature
Adds material only to the inside of another shellable or core feature.

External Feature
Adds material only to the outside of another material volume.

Core Feature
Creates a core by removing material only from the shellable or external volume.

Cutout
Creates a cutout.

Rib
Adds material to the inside of the material volume to strengthen it.

Reinforcement
Adds material to the outside of the material volume to strengthen it.

Cut

Pattern
Creates multiple instances of a feature in rectangular, circular, or user defined pattern.

Transform
Translates a body along a vector.

Mirror
Mirrors the selected features using symmetry of a plane or face.

Offset
Expands or contracts a feature by a specified distance.

Thickness
Adds thickness to the functional features under the same body.

Functional Edge Fillet
Fillets the intersecting edges of several selected functional features.


Chamfer, Local Modifier
Creates a beveled surface at the selected edges of a same functional feature by adding or removing material.

Draft, Local Modifier
Creates a draft based on the neutral element only for the same functional feature.

Hole
Creates holes in a 3D part.

Flyout for Cut



Cut
Trims an active body by using planes or surfaces as cutting elements.


Remove Feature
Removes material from the selected features.

Intersect Feature
