Dashboard Top Bar

The top bar provides immediate access to key information and services.

Note: The layout of the top bar changes according to the window width: on small screens, the search box and the menus are reduced to an icon.
  • To run a search, click and enter a term to search for.
  • To expand the menu list, click .

Search Lets you search across the 3DEXPERIENCE platform or within the current tab.

You can refine search results using 6WTags.



6WTags

Click the tag icon next to the search box to reveal the 6WTags.

6WTags let you capture the semantics on any content (either automatically extracted or created by users).

Your Platform Name or Platform Selection If a widget is available in several platforms and you switch it to full-screen mode, it lets you select a platform in the list. Depending on your screen size, click or the platform name to select another one from the top bar.

Note: This command is also available if you launch a web app from the Compass that is available in several platforms, and opens in a separate web browser.

Me Lets you access some basics about your profile or log out of the platform.



Notifications Opens the 3DNotification Center and displays the notifications pushed by some apps and services of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

You can use the context menu of a notification to open the related app in the context of the notification's event.

Add Lets you create content and organize your dashboards.
Note: These commands might not be available if a widget is in full-screen mode.


Share Lets you share tabs or dashboards with other named users or user groups. If your administrator has activated external sharing, you can also use email addresses to share with users who are not in the platform. For more information, see Share a Tab and Share a Dashboard.

Opens 3DDriveso you can securely mash up, store, access, and share files online anywhere from any device.

Communities Opens 3DSwym so you can access the power of communities within a dashboard.

Help Lets you access the following:
  • Get Started: Displays the coachmark, a conceptual design window that provides a basic overview of the 3DEXPERIENCE.
  • User's Communities: Lets you access your preferred community where you can exchange with users having your same interests, and share your know-how.
  • About 3DEXPERIENCE Platform displays:

    • In the About tab, the product version, the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Cookies information.
    • In the Support tab, the list of available platforms along with their latency rates, expressed in ms, and download speed, expressed in MB/s.
      Important: If you experience high latency or low download speeds, provide these numbers to the administrator of your platform so that he can analyze them. Click Download Information File to download a .txt file that you can share with him.
    • In the Mobile Pairing tab, two methods to pair your mobile apps with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform by scanning the provided QR code or copying the characters displayed below the code in your app.

  • On the cloud only: Get Support: Opens the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on cloud support page.
  • Legal Information, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Cookies. If your company has set them, download the given documents.
