| Create a Folder 
			You can create folders to organize your files. 
			 
					Select either of the following: 
					
						select a folder in the right pane, and in the toolbar, click
								Create Folder
							 .If the My Files node, any of its child nodes
							or a folder on which you have edit rights is selected in the left pane,
							click  > Create Folder  .Optional: 
					 Enter a title.
					
						 
							 Notes:
    		
								
									The title must be unique.If you do not enter one, New folder
										will be used by default. If you create another folder and
										keep the title by default, a default unique one will be
										proposed. For example, New folder (1), and so forth.Optional: 
					In the Description field, enter a folder
						description. 
					
						 Note:
			Available for 3DEXPERIENCE drives only. This description is indexed, and can be useful when searching a folder
						using the  Search
						option of the top bar.
					Click Create.
				
 The new folder is created, and you become the creator of the folder. If the
						Someone modifies some content from my files
					notification setting is selected and if a user creates a sub-folder, and you are
					the owner of the first-shared folder, you will be notified. 
 Upload a Folder 
			You can upload a folder from your desktop. 
			 Note:
    		This command is not supported by mobile devices. Before you begin: The folder must not be empty. The folder and its content is uploaded, and you become
				the creator of the folder. If the Someone modifies some content from my files
					notification setting is selected and if a user creates a sub-folder, and you are
					the owner of the first-shared folder, you will be notified. 
 Share a FolderYou can share one or several folders in any drive. You can enter as many users,
			or user groups
			as required.
			
			 
					Select one or several folders in the right pane, and in the toolbar
						click Add Members
						 . You can also share folders with members and, if you are on the cloud, user groups, by clicking: 
							 Add Members from the context menu of a given folder. Information >  .Accesses. Note:
			User
							Groups may be private. To view or search for this kind of group you may
							need to have specific access rights granted. For more information,
								see  Social and Collaborative: User Groups: User Groups Roles
									and Access Rights
					Select either of the following:

												If your administrator has activated external
												content sharing, you can enter an email address of
												a user that has not been invited to the platform
												yet. The user above will receive an invitation to the
												platform but will not see any notification even
												after having validated it. Only a user who has
												already validated a platform invitation will be
												notified.Once you have shared a folder with a group, you
												can access its list of members. From the group
												menu, select . |  
							| Dropbox | In the can edit or can
										view fields of the Share
									dialog box, enter the user's email. Sharing Dropbox content will
									send an email to the invited member.  Note:
			If someone shares a
										Dropbox folder with you, the folder does not automatically
										appear in your Dropbox folder in 3DDrive. To access the
											shared folder in 3DDrive:  
												In the invitation email sent by Dropbox, click
												Go to folder. If you are
												not logged in to your Dropbox account yet, sign
												in. Click Add to Dropbox.

Optional: 
					If you are in the 3DEXPERIENCE Drive, add a message. 
				
					Click Share. 
				
 The folders are shared with the selected
				user(s) or user
				group(s), and the shared content appears in the
					Shared with me folder of their drive, except for Dropbox.
					 To remove
					a
					user
					or a user group, in the information
					pane select 
						 Accesses,
					and  in front of the given user or user group, select . If you are the owner of the folder and want to transfer
					its ownership, in the information
					pane select 
						 Accesses,
					and in front of the given user
					select . Once you have validated the ownership change, you become
						Editor of the folder. The folder is transferred to
					the Shared with me folder in the tree. If you have
					selected Allow sharing with others and need to remove
					sharing
					rights for
					either
					users or user groups, select . Select  Enable Sharing to set sharing rights back. A
					folder that has been shared with you is identified using this icon  instead of the generic one .  . Child folders under the shared one inherit sharing
					rights but keep the generic  .
 Move FoldersYou can move one or more folders to another position to reorganize your
				content. 
					 Select one or more folders in the right pane, and select either of the
						following: 
					 
						 Notes:
    		
							
								To select several folders, click  Multi- selection in the toolbar.You can combine folders and files. 
						in the toolbar, click Move to
							 , select the target
							folder, and click Move.drag the selected folder(s) to the target folder either in the right
							pane or in the tree.The folder(s) are moved to the selected target folder.  If the Someone modifies some content from my files
					notification setting is selected and if a user moves a folder, and you are the
					owner of the first-shared content, you will be notified. 
 Copy a FolderIn the Box, Dropbox, OneDrive drives, you can copy a folder to another position.
				 
					Select a folder in the right pane, and in the toolbar, click
							Copy to
						 .
					In the Copy dialog box, select the target folder and
						click Copy. 
				
 Edit a Folder's Properties
			You can rename a folder's title or description to best fit your needs. 
			 
					
					
					 Select a folder in the right pane, and in the toolbar, click
							Edit Properties
						 .
					 Click Edit Properties. 
				Optional: 
					In the Description field, enter or modify the
						description. 
					
						 Note:
			Available for 3DEXPERIENCE drives only. This description is indexed, and can be useful when searching a folder
						using the  Search option of the top bar.
					Click Edit.
				
 The folder title is updated.  If the folder is in a 3DEXPERIENCE drive, and you have edited its description,
					the description is updated. If the Someone modifies some content from my files
					notification setting is selected and if a user renames a folder, and you are the
					owner of the first-shared content, you will be notified. 
 Download a FolderYou can download all the files stored in a folder and its subfolders as a .zip
			file. The folder and its subfolders must contain at least one file.
			
			 
					 Select a folder in the right pane. 
					
						 
							 Notes:
    		
								
									In the 3DEXPERIENCE Drive, you can download
										multiple folders. Select the folders you want to downlad in
										the right pane, and in the toolbar, click
											Multi-selection
										 . For more information, see
											Multi Selection in the App Toolbar.
					In the app toolbar, click Download
						 .
					Optional: If the selected folder contains child folders with
						content, and you want to download the complete folder structure, and
						content, select Download all contents with their
							subfolders.
				
 A .zip file containing all the files of the selected folder or folders is
				downloaded. If you have selected the Download all contents with their
					subfolders option, the complete folder structure, and content is
				downloaded.
 Delete a FolderYou can delete a folder when you do not need it anymore.
			
			 
					Select a folder in the right pane, and in the toolbar, click
							Delete 
						 .
					 Click Delete to validate. 
				
 The folder is
				sent
				to the trash.
				If you have shared it with anyone the folder disappears
				from his Shared with me folder.
				  If the Someone deletes some content from my files
					notification setting is selected, and you are the owner of the selected folder,
					you will be notified.  
					 Note:
			If you have shared a Dropbox or Google Drive folder and you delete it from 3DDrive, the folder will still be available in
					Dropbox or Google Drive. 
 Add to My Files
			If a folder has been shared with you with Can Edit
				rights, you can add the shared folder to your My Files node
				in the tree. 
		 Before you begin: 
				A folder is available in the Shared with Me node.  
					In the Shared with Me  node, select a folder and in
						the toolbar, click Add to My Files  . 
				The folder is added to your My Files node.  If you have
					installed the 3DEXPERIENCE Drive for Windows Desktop
					Client the folder will be synchronized with your local content. 
 Remove from My Files
			You can remove a folder that you have previously added to the My
					files node from the shared with me node. 
			 
					In the My Files  node, select a folder and in the
						toolbar, click Remove  . 
				
				 
					The folder is removed from the My Files node. The original folder stored in the Shared with me node is kept. If you have installed the 3DEXPERIENCE Drive for
						Windows Desktop Client, the folder will not be synchronized with your local
						content anymore.  Note:
			Removing a folder does not send it to the 
						 Trash as it
					is the case when you Remove a folder using Delete a Folder.
 Share a Folder by Link with External UsersYou can share a folder by link with external users who do not have an IFW - Collaborative Business Innovator role granted to let them access the selected folder for 30 days. This period of time
			starts from the moment the link has been generated. If the 30 days expire, you will need
			to generate, and share a new link. Before you begin: Your administrator has activated this option. Anyone having this link will have access to the shared
				folder. The shared content is opened in a standalone web page from which he can only
				view and download the content. If the shared folder contains a file linked to other
				files, for example a CATProduct or a sldasm file, the user with whom you shared it
				will not be able neither to download the linked files nor open it in 3DPlay. |
