| Add
			Content
			You can upload
				files
				to use
				them
				later
				from different apps, and share it with others.
				
			
			
			 Note:
			If the My Files or any child folder node is selected in the left
				pane, and no folder is selected in the right pane, you can also add content by
				clicking  on the app
				toolbar. Notes:
    		
				
					File size is limited as follows: 
							3DEXPERIENCE drive: 1 GB Box,
								Google
								Drive,
								Dropbox
								and
								OneDrive.
								For more information, read the storage providers
								documentation.
							 If you upload a file which has the same name as an existing one, the
						existing file will be updated accordingly.  
					Select or open the folder where you want to upload the file, and in the
						toolbar select either of the following: 
					A progress bar appears, and the file or files are
				uploaded and
				displayed in the  Recent Files node in the tree. You
					become the creator of the file. Notes:
    		
					
					
						 If the Someone adds some content in my files
							notification setting is selected, you are the owner of the first shared
							folder and another user uploads
							or
							create
							a
							file, you will be notified. You can also upload a file by dropping it to the Drag &
								Drop files here section in the right pane. The first time you access your 3DEXPERIENCE drive, a 
								 Select files to
								upload button is available in the right pane.
 Share a FileYou can share one or several files or folders in any drive with other users. You
			can enter as many users
			or user groups
			as required. 
			 
					Select one or several files in the right pane, and in the toolbar click
							Add Members
						 . You can also share files with members and, if you are on the cloud, user groups, either
						by clicking:  
							 Add Members from the context menu of a given file. Information >  .Accesses. Note:
			User
							Groups may be private. To view or search for this kind of group you may
							need to have specific access rights granted. For more information,
								see  Social and Collaborative: User Groups: User Groups Roles
									and Access Rights
					Select either of the following:

												If your administrator has activated external
												content sharing, you can enter an email address of
												a user that has not been invited to the platform
												yet. The user above will receive an invitation to
												the platform but will not see any notification
												even after having validated it. Only a user who
												has already validated a platform invitation will
												be notified.Once you have shared a file with a group, you
												can access its list of members. From the group
												menu, select . |  
							| Dropbox | In the can view field of the
										Share dialog box, enter the user's
									email.  Note:
			If someone shares a Dropbox file with you, the file
										does not automatically appear in your Dropbox folder in 3DDrive. To access the
											shared file in 3DDrive:  
												In the invitation email sent by Dropbox, click
												View file. If you are not
												logged in to your Dropbox account yet, sign in. Download the file and save it to your Dropbox.

Optional: 
					If you are in the 3DEXPERIENCE Drive, add a message. 
				
					Click Share. 
				
 
				 
					The files are shared with the selected
						user(s)
						or user group(s), and the shared content appears in
						the Shared with me folder of their drive, except for
						Dropbox. If some content has been shared with users or user groups, and those users have selected
						the Someone shares some content with me
						notification setting, they will be notified. If the
						Someone modifies some content from my files
						notification setting is selected and some content belonging to a folder you
						have first shared is shared with a user or user group, you will be notified.
						
					If you have selected Publish to community, a new
						media, post, question, or idea is published in the selected community.  To remove
					a
					user or a
					user group, in the information pane, select
					
						 Accesses,
					and  in front of the given user or user group, select 
					. If you are the owner of the file and want to transfer its ownership, in the
					information
					pane select 
						 Accesses,
					and in front of the given user
					select . Once you have validated the ownership change, you become
						Editor of the file. The file is transferred to the
						Shared with me folder in the tree. If you have selected Allow sharing with others and need to remove
					sharing
					rights for
					either users or user groups, select .
 Edit File's PropertiesYou can edit the title or description of a file stored in a drive.
			 
					Open the folder containing the file. 
					The file is displayed in the right pane. 
					Select either of the following: 
					
						Select the file and in the toolbar click Edit
								Properties
							 .From the context menu of the file, select  Edit Properties.
					Enter a new name. 
					If you have selected a single file which is maybe linked to a master file,
						for example a CATProduct, CATPart or sldasm file and you confirm the
						renaming, the links between the files will be lost. Optional: 
					In the Description field, enter a file description. 
					
						 Note:
			Available in a 3DEXPERIENCE drive only. This description is indexed, and can be useful when searching a file using
						the  Search
						option of the top bar.
					Click Edit. 
				
 The
				file
				title is updated.  If the file is in a 3DEXPERIENCE drive and you have edited its description,
					the description is updated. If the Someone modifies some content from my files
					notification setting is selected and if a user renames a file, and you are the
					owner of the first shared content, you will be notified. 
 Move FilesYou can move one or more files to another position. 
			 
					 Select one or more files in the right pane, and select either of the
						following: 
					 
						 Notes:
    		
							
								To select several files, click  Multi- selection in the toolbar.You can combine files and folders.The file(s) are moved to the target folder. 
				 If the Someone modifies some content from my files
					notification setting is selected and if a user moves a file, and you are the
					owner of the first shared content, you will be notified.
				
 Copy a FileYou can copy a file to another position.
			 
					Open the folder containing the file. 
					The file is displayed in the right pane. 
					Select either of the following: 
					
						Select the file and in the toolbar click Copy
								to
							 .From the context menu of the file select 
								 Copy to..... If you have selected a single file which is linked to other files, for
						example a CATProduct or a sldasm file, select either of the following:  
							Copy the selected file with all linked files
								to copy all the linked files. Note:
			If all the linked files have not
									been processed yet, you are prompted to choose whether to copy a
									partial-processed assembly or wait for all the assembly files to
									be processed. Click Proceed Anyway if you
									want to copy the files, regardless of their processing
									status.Copy the selected file only to copy the
								selected file without the linked files. 
					In the Copy dialog box, select the target folder and
						click Copy. 
				
 Download a File
			You can download a file that you have previously uploaded, those that other
				users have shared with you.
			
			 
					Open the folder containing the file. 
					The file is displayed in the right pane. 
					Select either of the following: 
					
						Select the file and in the toolbar click  Download 
							 .From the context menu of the file, select  Download. 
						 Note:
			You can download multiple files in the 3DEXPERIENCE Drive. Select the files in the
							right pane and in the toolbar, click
								Multi-selection
							 . For more information, see Multi
								Selection in the App Toolbar. If you select a single file which is linked to other files, for example a
						CATProduct or a sldasm file, select either of the following:  
							Download the selected file with all linked
									files to download all the linked files in a ZIP
								file. Note:
			If all the linked files have not been processed yet, you
									are prompted to choose whether to download a partial-processed
									assembly or wait for all the assembly files to be processed.
									Click Proceed Anyway if you want to
									download the files, regardless of their processing
									status.Download the selected file only to download
								the selected file without the linked files.  Recommendation:
			If the file you want to download is linked to
							other files, for example an assembly, the linked files might be missing
							for a while. Wait a few minutes before downloading it to get the given
							file along with the linked ones.  Note:
			If different versions of a file exist, you can download any of the
							available versions. Follow steps one to three of Restore a File Version and
							in front of the file you want to download, select  .
 Update a File
			You can update a file that you have previously uploaded or, if you have the
				required rights, one that other users have shared with you. 
			
			 
					
					
					Open the folder containing the file. 
					The file is displayed in the right pane. 
					Select either of the following: 
					
						 
						Select the file and in the toolbar click Update 
							 .From the context menu of the file, select  Update.
					Select a file and click Open. 
					If the selected file has a different name as the one you want to update,
						the name of the existing file will be kept. 
 The existing file is replaced by the one you have uploaded, and a new version of the file
				is created.
				 The file is
					displayed in the  Recent Files node in the tree. If
					the Someone modifies some content from my files
					notification setting is selected and if a user updates a file, and you are the
					owner of the file, you will be notified.  
					 Note:
			A file will also be updated, if you upload a file which has the same name
						as an existing one. The existing file will be updated accordingly. For more
						information, see Add Content.

 Delete a File
			You can delete a file as far as you have the required rights. 
			
			
			 
					Open the folder containing the file. 
					The file is displayed in the right pane. 
					Select either of the following: 
					
						Select the file and in the toolbar, click
								Delete
							 .From the context menu of the file, select  Delete. If you have selected a single file which is linked to a master file, for
						example a CATProduct, CATPart or sldasm file, select either of the
						following:  
							Delete the selected file with all linked
									files to delete all the linked files. Note:
			If all
									the linked files have not been processed yet, you are prompted
									to choose whether to delete a partial-processed assembly or wait
									for all the assembly files to be processed. Click
										Proceed Anyway if you want to delete
									the files, regardless of their processing status.Delete the selected file only to delete the
								selected file without the linked files. 
 The files are sent to the trash.
				  If the Someone deletes some content from my files
					notification setting is selected, and you are the owner of the selected file,
					you will be notified.  
					
 Preview a File
			You can display a preview of most of the files stored in a drive. In
				particular, 3D content, and 360° images can be played using 3DPlay Web App.

			 Note:
			
				3DPlay Web App-compatible content is automatically opened in full-screen mode.
			 
					Open the folder containing the file. 
					The file is displayed in the right pane. 
					Select either of the following: 
					
						Select the file and in the toolbar, click
								Preview
							 .From the context menu of the file, select  Preview.Double-click the file.  
						 Note:
			If the file is a video, a standard video player allows you to:
								Play/Pause videoMute/Unmute soundSwitch to Full-screen modeIf supported by your browser, switch to Picture-in-Picture
									mode The file is displayed in the  Recent Files node in the tree.
 The Comments
				Share, Download,
					Information, Copy to...,
					Edit Properties and  Play 360°,  ,
				commands appear on the top of the preview. Click X to close
				the preview. 
 Restore a File VersionYou can restore a file that you have updated to a previous version within the
			available file history.  File versions are also created when you replace a file that
				is stored in your local device and the local folder containing the updated file has
				been synchronized with the online content. For more information about content
				synchronization, see About the 3DEXPERIENCE Drive for Windows Desktop Client.
			 
					Open the folder containing the file. 
					The file is displayed in the right pane. 
					Select the file, and in the toolbar click Information 
						 .
					Click  History. The file history list is displayed. 
					In front of the file you want to restore, select  . Each file version is identified by the date and time it was created. 
 The current version of the file becomes the one you have just restored.
					 The file is
					displayed in the  Recent Files node in the
					tree. You can also download any available version of the
					file. In front of the file you want to download, select  . By default, five versions of the file are kept for a given
					file for a period of ten days. The administrator of your platform can customize
					the file history settings. 
 Add to My Files
			If a file has been shared with you with Can Edit
				rights, you can add the shared file to your My Files node in
				the tree. 
			 Before you begin: 
				A file is available in the Shared with Me node.  
					In the Shared with Me  node, select either of the
						following: 
					 
						Select the file and in the toolbar, click Add to My
								Files
							 .From the context menu of the file, select Add
								to My Files
							 .The file is added to your My Files node.  If you have
					installed the 3DEXPERIENCE Drive for Windows Desktop
					Client the file will be synchronized with your local content. 
 Remove from  My FilesYou can remove a file that you have previously added to the My
				files node from the shared with me node.  
					In the My Files  node, select either of the
						following: 
					 
						Select the file and in the toolbar, click Remove from My
								Files
							 .From the context menu of the file, select
								Remove from My Files
							 . 
						
				 
					The file is removed from the My Files node. The original file stored in the Shared with me node
						is kept. If you have installed the 3DEXPERIENCE Drive for
						Windows Desktop Client, the file will not be synchronized with your local
						content anymore.  
					 Note:
			Removing a file does not send it to the 
							 Trash as
						it is the case when you Remove a file using Delete a File.
 Publish to 3DSwym
			You can publish files to communities and conversations for immediate
				collaboration and interactive discussion in 3DSwym.
		 Before you begin: You must have access to a community or a
					conversation.
 
					Select either of the following:
					
						Select the file and in the toolbar click  Publish to 3DSwym.From the context menu of the file select  Publish to 3DSwym..
					From the Publish to 3DSwym, select
							Community or
						Conversation:
					
						Communities. If required, edit the title, and
							description for your content and select a community to publish your
							content.Conversation If required, edit the title, and
							description for your content and select a conversation to publish your
							content.
					Select a Media, Post,
							Question, or Idea, and the
						community or the conversation where you want the selected file to be
						published.
				
					Click Publish.
					The file is published to your community or the conversation thread of your choice.  
 Share a File by Link with External UsersYou can share a file by link with external users who do not have an IFW - Collaborative Business Innovator role granted to let them access the selected folder for 30 days. This period of time
			starts from the moment the link has been generated. If the 30 days expire, you will need
			to generate, and share a new link. Before you begin: Your administrator has activated this option. Anyone having this link will have access to the shared
				file. The shared content is opened in a standalone web page from which he can only
				view and download the content. If the shared file contains linked files, for example
				a CATProduct or a sldasm file, the user with whom you shared it will neither be able to download the linked files nor open it in 3DPlay. |
