View Formula Properties
- Open the formula whose properties you want to view.

Click Open/Close Dock
in the vertical bar to the right of the formula grid.
The Formula Properties pane opens.
The Formula Properties pane has the following tabs:
Weights. These properties define how batches of the formula are created (by weight, volume, or piece size), and how they are measured. For more information, see Formula Properties: Weights.
References. These properties define general summary information about the formula (name, creator, date of creation, purpose, and so on). For more information, see Formula Properties: References.
Genealogy. These properties describe the history of the formula through cloning of earlier formulas. For more information, see Formula Properties: Genealogy.
Experiments. These properties list the Scientific Notebook experiments that include the formula. For more information, see Formula Properties: Experiments.
Note: If you select a row in the table, properties are visible for the row, and not for the formula. To switch to properties for the formula, cancel the row selection.
