Shapes Section

The Shapes section of the action bar provides commands for drawing basic geometry and creating simple shapes.

Draw
Draws simple geometry, such as lines, arcs and circles, on a grid or in 3D.
See Drawing Geometry.
Rectangle
Creates a rectangle defined by two corner points.
See Drawing Circles, Rectangles, Ellipses and Polygons.
Circle
Creates a circle from the center.
See Drawing Circles, Rectangles, Ellipses and Polygons.
Cylinder
Creates a cylinder.
See Drawing Spheres and Cylinders.
Sphere
Creates a sphere.
See Drawing Spheres and Cylinders.

Extrude
Creates a face, a volume or a pocket.
See Extruding Geometry.
Sweep
Creates a sweep shape.
See Creating a Sweep Shape.
Offset
Offsets the selected geometry.
See Offsetting Boundary Curves.
Revolve
Creates a shaft by rotating a profile about an axis.
See Creating a Revolve.
Draft
Creates a constant draft based on a neutral element.
See Drafting Shapes.
Fillet
Creates a fillet.
See Filleting Edges.
Chamfer
Creates a beveled surface along the common edge between two faces.
See Chamfering Edges.
Boundary Parallel Curve
Offsets the boundary of the selection.
See Creating an Offset.
Shell
Creates a shell.
See Shelling a Shape.
Loft
Creates a loft.
See Creating a Lofted Shape.
Fill
Creates a fill surface.
See Filling in Closed Profiles.
Spline
Creates a spline curve.
See Drawing Spline Curves.
Move
Lets you translate or rotate the selected elements using the Robot.
Scale
Applies a scaling coefficient to the selected geometry.
See Transforming a Shape by Scaling.

Duplicate
Creates a copy of geometry. Use the Robot to define the position of the copy.
See Duplicating Geometry.
Create Symmetry
Creates a mirror copy of geometry.
See Performing a Symmetry on Geometry.
Linear Pattern
Creates multiple instances of a selected object in a linear pattern.
See Creating a Linear Pattern.

Circular Pattern
Creates multiple instances of a selected object in a circular pattern.
See Editing Patterns.

Constraint Creation
Creates a constraint.

Equal Dimension Constraints
Adds the same dimension constraint between several straight lines or circles.
See Adding 3D Dimension Constraints to Multiple Geometries.
Mirror
Creates a mirror plane from the selection.
For a given selection, the command searches for all mirror planes. The command helps you to find all symmetry planes.

  • Select a set of elements.
  • Click Mirror.

See Mirroring Geometry.

3D Constraints

See Adding 3D Constraints and Equations.

Distance Constraint
Creates a distance constraint.
See About 3D Constraints.
Fix Constraint
Fixes the element in position (single elements).
See About 3D Constraints.
Coincidence Constraint
Creates a coincidence constraint.
See About 3D Constraints.
Perpendicularity Constraint
Creates a perpendicularity constraint.
See About 3D Constraints.
Parallelism Constraint
Creates a parallelism constraint.
See About 3D Constraints.
Tangency Constraint
Creates a tangency constraint.
See About 3D Constraints.
Angle Constraint
Creates an angle constraint.
See About 3D Constraints.
Radius Constraint
Creates a radius constraint.
See About 3D Constraints.
Symmetry Constraint
Creates a symmetry constraint.
See About 3D Constraints.
