Subdivision Section

From the Subdivision section of the action bar, you can create several new product components starting with basic 2D and 3D shapes. You can then modify those basic shapes by dragging points and faces on the shape to create a subdivision entity.

Create/Edit Sketch
Creates a new sketch or edits an existing one.

Creates a component, based on the shape of a box.

Cylinder

Globe

Torus

Cone

Ring

Net Surface

Extrude

Insert Loops
Inserts additional loops in the mesh on subdivision objects.

Subdivide Faces

Crease Edges
Adjusts the crease between mesh faces on subdivision objects.

Align Cage Points
Aligns cage points on a subdivision object with other objects in the work area.

Fill Edges
Fills gaps in mesh faces on a subdivision object.

Cut by Plane
Cuts subdivision objects along a plane.

Bevel
Adds a bevel to increase the density of the mesh.

Merge
Merges two subdivision surfaces along open loops.

Link
Link subdivision vertices to geometrical entities.

Delete Faces/Loops
Displays data points for distance, speed, acceleration, and forces for your motion study.

Reverse Normal
Inverts the normal direction of a subdivision face.

Arc Bend
Bends mesh points on a subdivision object in an arc based on view orientation.

Scale by Distance
Scales a subdivision object about a selectable origin by specifying a distance between two points.

Flex
