Analysis & Output Section

The Analysis & Output section provides commands for exporting the geometry and slicing result in a file.

This page discusses:

Simulation Object
You can create a manufacturing simulation from product, resource, or PPR context data. A manufacturing simulation enables you test different scenarios that you can use the simulation functions available in Live Simulation.
See Creating a Simulation Object.

New Manufacturing Scenario
See Flyout for Creating Scenarios.

New Data Readout
See Flyout for Creating Analyses.

New Machining Clash Stock Probe
See Flyout for Creating Probes.

Simulate and Generate Results
Simulates and generates results from your simulation. Results are saved in a dedicated panel.
See Generating Scenario Results.

Fault List
Displays the list of defects detected during simulation. Defects include collisions and out of limit points. To position the machine at the location of the collision, select a line from the list.
See Collision Fault List.

Save Material Removal/Deposition Simulation Result
Saves the result of the material removal/deposition simulation of an operation.
See Managing Material Removal Simulation Results.

Design Part Comparison
Compares the machined stock and design part to highlight any deviation from the design part.
See Comparing Machined Stock and Design Part.

Generate NC Code Interactively
See Flyout for Generating NC Code.

Create NC Batch Job
See Flyout for Managing Batch Jobs.

Import APT, Clfile or NC code
Imports APT, Clfiles or NC code files to create an ordered sequence of machining operations from the file.
See Importing NC Data.

Flyout for Creating Scenarios

New Manufacturing Scenario
Creates a new manufacturing scenario.
See Creating a Manufacturing Scenario.

New Machining Scenario
Creates a new machining scenario.
See Machining Scenario Dialog box.

Flyout for Creating Analyses

New Data Readout
Configures a data readout probe.
See Creating a Data Readout Probe.

Measure Between
Measures the distance between two selected points in the content. This measurement can be saved with the scenario.
See Defining a Measure Between Probe.
See Measure Between Dialog Box.

New Interference
Determines whether two objects clash or cross too close to a predetermined buffer.
See Using Collision in the Machining Simulation.
See Defining an Interference Probe.

New Section Probe
Sections the content at specified points.
See Creating a Section Probe.

Camera Viewer
Enables you to set a camera on objects in your content so that you can see aspects of your simulation from that viewpoint.
See Creating a Camera Viewer Probe.

Motion Trace
In the work area, creates a 3D record of the movements of a robot or other device.
See Creating a Motion Trace Probe.

Flyout for Creating Probes

New Machining Clash Stock Probe
Creates a probe that detects clashes between the machined stock and other components.
See Using the Machining Simulation Browser.

New Machining Clash Probe
Creates a probe that detects clashes between the machine and other components.
See Using the Machining Simulation Browser.

New Machining Technological Probe
Creates a Machining Technological Probe under the specifications category.

Flyout for Generating NC Code

Generate NC Code Interactively
Generates NC code files from a manufacturing program in an NC files container.
See About NC Code Generation.

Create NC Files Container
Creates NC files container to export and import NC files.
See Using NC File Containers.
IMS ® Formatter
Launches the IMS ® Formatter for post processor customization.
See Customizing Post Processor for Machines with IMS ® Formatter.
ICAM ® Foundation
Launches the ICAM ® Foundation Post Processor Developer for customization.
See Customizing Post Processor for Machines with ICAM ® Foundation.

Flyout for Managing Batch Jobs

Create NC Batch Job
Creates and runs a batch job for a machining operation, program or part operation.
See Creating an NC Batch Computation Job.

NC Batch Queue
Creates, edits, deletes and synchronizes jobs, and starts or stops the execution of jobs.
See Managing Batch Queue.
