This section describes the new and enhanced functionality in 3DSwym.

R2022x FD01 (FP.2205)

Favorite Communities/Conversations and Community Follow/Unfollow Management - Context Menu
Benefits: The favorite communities and conversations can now be managed from the context menu on the left pane. You can also follow or unfollow a community from the same context menu.

Communities and Conversations Favorites
Benefits: The favorite communities and conversations section are now better managed.
The favorite communities and conversations sections are now displayed only if you have:
  • added at least one community or one conversation to your favorites.
  • already 15 communities or conversations in the My communities or My Conversations sections.

Supported File Extensions
Benefits: You can now use rtf, xps, mpp, vsd and vsdx files within your communities.

3DWhiteboard App Media Creation
New media creation choice.
Benefits: You can now create a Whiteboard to contribute to the collaborative ideation and innovation of your communities.

Content Sorting
Benefits: When a community is selected in the left pane, you can now sort community content by Creation Date or Latest Activity.

View Selection - Compact View
Benefits: When a community is selected in the left pane, you can now select a new Compact View that helps you display content more efficciently using less space.

Furthermore, existing views commands have benn updated as follows:

  • Contents becomes Large View.
  • Timeline becomes Timeline View.

Post Creation By Contributors
Benefits: If you are a community owner, you can now enable contributors to create posts.

Suggested Conversations
Benefits: On the left pane of the conversations interface, you can now start a conversation with a list of people with whom you have not had a conversation yet. The list may contain up to 15 members.

Media Interactions
Benefits: When opening a media, you can now access the Edit, Comment, Share, Properties and the More context menu commands of the selected media directly from the top bar.

If you have edited the media, you can also publish your modifications from the top bar.

These commands were formerly accessed from a lightweight player toolbar.

PDF and office documents are now supported in 3DPlay for Dashboard when accessed from a mobile device.
